Thank you for using Downpour. We want Downpour to be a place where people are free to express themselves, but this requires setting some limits on the content and behaviour that is allowed. This document is our attempt to make those limits clear to you - but we reserve the right to take action against behaviour we find disruptive, even if it falls within the letter of these policies.

Actions we might take if you go beyond these guidelines might involve a warning, taking down games, or banning you. If action is taken against you, we will notify you via an email to the address you registered with - if you wish to appeal or understand further, you can do so by replying to that email.
It should also be noted that these guidelines are not intended to be legally binding. Use of Downpour falls under our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which set out the legal basis for how we operate our services.
Abuse
- do not make games that are hateful or derogatory towards people on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability.
- do not harass, abuse or threaten people
- don’t post material that promotes self-harm
- don’t reveal the private information of other people, unless they have consented to it being shared - examples are their legal names, addresses and photographs, especially intimate photographs
- do not pretend to be anyone you are not, unless it is very clear you are joking
- don’t include or link to material that could cause epileptic seizures, without a prominent warning beforehand
Adult content
Do not post adult content on Downpour. This includes:
- nudity, beyond that which would be acceptable to display on the street
- material designed primarily to be sexually arousing
- explicit depictions of sexual acts
Spam
Do not post spam on downpour. This includes:
- repeatedly posting the same content
- posting content in exchange for money or other remuneration, where this is not explicitly disclosed
- adding links for the purposes of SEO
- linking to illegal or unethical goods or services, such as pyramid schemes
- linking to websites which could compromise the privacy or security of players or other users
Site integrity
- do not create accounts to try to evade bans, or reupload content that has been taken down
- don’t try to hack the service, by which we mean gain access to information or actions that we have not deliberately made available. If you think you have found a security hole or a bug, it would be very appreciated if you would tell us: we can be contacted at [email protected]
General
- don’t post other people’s work on Downpour, unless you have their permission
- don’t upload any content that is illegal in the United Kingdom.
- this especially goes for child sexual abuse material. We will report any CSAM that we are aware of to the relevant authorities.
